AI video demonstrations often emphasize visual novelty, but regional marketing teams need to know whether a route can preserve product truth, narrative clarity and local adaptability through production.

Evaluation should use real campaign jobs and score the full path from storyboard to approved sequence.

01

Define the intended video job

A six-second product motion, a storyboard exploration, a presenter localization and a cinematic concept film are different tasks. State the duration, placement, product requirement, narrative beat and level of editability before selecting a model.

The test should mirror the job the organization plans to repeat, not a generic prompt chosen to flatter the provider.

02

Evaluate temporal quality

Review product shape, label area, hands, faces, lighting and scene geometry across the full sequence. A strong still frame can hide drift, sudden object changes or motion that cannot survive brand review.

  • Consistency of product, people and environment across frames.
  • Clarity of the intended action and narrative beat.
  • Camera movement, pacing and edit-point control.
  • Artifacts visible at final delivery size and compression.
03

Test controllability through revisions

Ask the model to make one targeted change while preserving the rest of the sequence. Production teams need to know whether they can adjust timing, product prominence, setting or ending without regenerating the entire concept.

Record the number of attempts and manual editing required to reach a reviewable version.

04

Plan regional versions early

Language, subtitles, voice, pack, offer and end card may vary by market. Choose a master route with enough clean timing and source flexibility to support those changes, then define which adaptations require renewed review.

A video route is valuable when it can become a controlled family of market assets, not only one impressive clip.

05

Create a production test suite

Use short shots that expose the behavior important to the campaign: product rotation, human interaction, camera movement, readable packaging, scene continuity and end-card timing. Evaluate several seeds and one controlled revision rather than presenting a single lucky clip.

Review at delivery resolution with sound and platform constraints applied. Record temporal defects, product drift, revision response, generation time and manual finishing effort. The test should reveal whether the route can support a campaign family, not only a striking demo frame.

  • Identity and geometry across frames.
  • Camera and subject motion control.
  • Editability after a change request.
  • Audio, duration and delivery readiness.
06

Plan localization at the shot level

Decide which shots are regionally shared and which elements can change by market. Voice, supers, product, offer, end card and legal copy often require different adaptation methods. Keep clean plates and editable source elements when possible.

Market review should assess the complete cut, not only translated text. Pacing, gesture, environment and audio can change meaning. Approved local versions return to the same campaign timeline with their source, rights and decision history attached.

Build the system around the work.

Evaluate AI video as a production route with narrative, product and localization responsibilities. Novel motion is the starting point; controllable, approved market versions are the finish line.
