One master asset, every channel format
Scale a selected campaign route across placements without reducing adaptation to mechanical cropping.

A selected campaign route rarely ends as one asset. It has to become feeds, stories, reels, display units, commerce placements and local variants, each with different proportions and content priorities.
Scaling should begin from a governed master and a format system, not from independent resize requests.
Choose a master that contains enough information
The master should preserve the product, environment, message hierarchy, campaign devices and source layers required to rebuild the idea at other proportions. A flattened final crop is often a poor source because important content no longer exists outside the frame.
Keep source photography, product cutouts, type, mandatory copy and safe-area rules attached to the selected route.
Design rules for each placement family
Vertical video, square commerce, horizontal display and story placements do not share the same attention pattern. Define what must remain visible, how product prominence changes and how copy behaves at each placement family.
- Primary subject and product safe areas.
- Minimum copy size and maximum line count.
- Mandatory claim, legal and call-to-action placement.
- Motion duration, opening frame and end-card requirements.
Use AI for reconstruction and controlled extension
Generative tools can extend backgrounds, reposition secondary elements and create format-specific breathing room. Product identity, mandatory brand devices and approved copy should remain locked or be checked against the source after each transformation.
The output is not complete until the team verifies both visual quality and semantic continuity with the approved route.
Manage the output as a collection
A campaign collection should show which formats exist for each market, which version is current and which checks remain open. The complete set can then move through market and legal review without reconstructing status in a spreadsheet.
This turns format scaling into a repeatable production capability rather than a final-week rescue operation.
Build a format map before adaptation
List every required placement with dimensions, duration, message hierarchy, safe areas, mandatory elements and market coverage. Group formats by shared composition logic rather than treating every size as a separate request. A vertical video family, commerce square family and horizontal display family usually need different reconstruction rules.
The map makes completeness measurable. Teams can see which outputs inherit from the selected master, which require a new composition and which need a local product or offer. Production effort becomes visible before the first export instead of surfacing as late resize tickets.
- Placement and technical specification.
- Primary subject and product priority.
- Copy, claim and call-to-action limits.
- Required markets and review path.
Quality-control the adapted family
Review the family side by side at delivery size. Check whether the idea remains recognizable, the product is truthful, copy is readable and important elements survive each attention pattern. A technically valid crop can still fail if it removes the reason the master was selected.
Approve at the correct level. Shared composition rules can be reviewed once, while market copy, offers and legal lines retain local decisions. The release view should show the approved current version for every required intersection of market and format.
The operating principle
Build the system around the work.
Every format should feel like the same campaign making an intentional choice for a new placement. Preserve the route, rebuild the composition and manage the complete collection as one operating record.
